Fresh Yogurt Popsicles

Jump to Recipe

When the heat is on and the kids are sticky from head to toe, there’s nothing better than pulling a batch of fresh yogurt popsicles from the freezer. Cool, creamy, and bursting with fresh berry flavor, these pops are the ultimate summertime treat! With just a handful of wholesome ingredients like yogurt, berries, collagen, protein and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup you’ve got a snack that’s fun to make, even more fun to eat, and way more nutrient dense than anything you’ll find in a box. Warning: they tend to disappear fast… so you might want to make a double batch!

  • Optional: 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup. If using a sweetened protein powder this may be too sweet, but if you like sweeter popsicles or opt for unflavored protein, then you can go ahead and add this.

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk your yogurt, heavy cream and sweetener (if using) .
  2. Add protein and collagen, whisk until combined.
  3. Sprinkle in your fruit or berries. We love strawberries, peaches, blueberries, even cherries go great!
  4. Pour mixture into your popsicle molds. Freeze until solid.
  5. Serve straight out of the freezer!
  6. These store well for up to a week, although they never last that long in our house!

Tips for the best fresh yogurt popsicles

1. Use Full-Fat Yogurt for Creaminess
Full-fat Greek or whole milk yogurt makes a huge difference in texture. It creates a rich, creamy popsicle that doesn’t get icy or chalky when frozen.

2. Sweeten Just Enough
Freezing dulls sweetness, so your mixture should taste slightly sweeter than you’d like it to be when frozen. Natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or ripe bananas work well and add depth of flavor.

3. Layer or Swirl for Visual Appeal
For a fun presentation, layer different fruit mixtures or swirl them with a spoon before freezing. This works especially well with contrasting colors—like strawberry and blueberry.

4. Use Quality Molds like this or this
Invest in good silicone or BPA-free plastic molds for easy release.

5. Let Them Freeze Long Enough
Give them at least 4–6 hours (or overnight) to fully set. For best texture, avoid opening the freezer often during that time.

6. Unmold with Warm Water
Run the mold under warm (not hot) water for 10–15 seconds to help the popsicles release easily without breaking.
