Welcome!
Your sourdough starter has arrived—congratulations! Now, let’s give it a meal. Your starter is hungry, so we’ll feed it with a 1:1:1 ratio. (For more details on feeding ratios, check out this blog.) Start by transferring your starter into a glass jar, aiming for around 50 grams of starter. Then, add 50 grams of flour and 50 grams of water. Stir everything together until it’s fully combined, and cover the jar with a tea towel or a loosely fitting lid. Let it sit until the starter has doubled in size.
